Wedding Party Enters [3 minutes]
Processional enters the ceremony area
Opening [1 minute]: Siobhan to guests
Welcome, friends and family. We are so honored that you could be here to share in this special day.
[D & J face Siobhan and/or one another]
Del and Joyce, today you are surrounded by your loved ones, all of whom have made a journey, some of great distances and some… not so much… to be here with you and witness your wedding ceremony. Take a moment to look around you and let it all soak in.
Reading [3 minutes]: Siobhan to couple
Three important factors brought us all together today.
First, you both loooove to shake your money-makers. Back in March of 2002, you both happened to attend the Piles of Rhythm St Patrick's Day show, where your absurd dance moves and good looks drew you to one another. You went on a couple dates and became enchanted with one another's wit, intellect, and generous spirit.
Second, you were both ready and willing to fall in love with an amazing individual. As the relationship grew, despite the long distance, you consistently showed devotion and affection toward one another, making sacrifices to be together at every opportunity. Your energy and enthusiasm for life took you around the world, to Japan and Europe, to Panama and the North Woods. Wherever you went, the fun followed.
Third, you made a lifelong commitment to one another, folding in all of your loved ones. As a newly blended family we celebrated birthdays, holidays, and no-occasion days laughing, cooking and eating, laughing, traveling, storytelling, laughing, and always enjoying one another's company.
So, since you've both worked incredibly hard to build such a loving home, today we shall celebrate your commitment to one another.
Spiritual Reading [3 minutes]: Siobhan to gathering
I would like to invite Scott Samuelson, friend and neighbor of the couple, to join us. Scott will read verses from Romans.
[Scott steps forward]

[Scott steps back]
Thank you, Scott. That was lovely.
Song [3 minutes]: Siobhan to gathering
And now, Mike Miller will sing a song for the couple.
[Instrumental break.]
Thank you, Mike, that was wonderful.
Vows [3 minutes]: Siobhan to the couple
Del and Joyce, I remind you that marriage is a precious gift. It's both a lifelong commitment as well as a challenge to love one another more completely each and every day. Just as the first 11 years of your relationship have been full of love and joy, so too may the upcoming years bring you endless happiness.
Please join hands and gaze lovingly into each other's eyes.
[Joyce to hand off bouquet]
Del, please place the ring on Joyce's finger as I read these vows.
Do you, Del,
take Joyce to be your lawfully wedded wife;
and promise to love and comfort her,
honor and cherish her,
for all of your days?
If so, say “I do.”
Del: "I do."
Joyce, please place the ring on Del's finger as I read these vows.
Do you, Joyce,
take Del to be your lawfully wedded husband;
and promise to love and comfort him,
honor and cherish him,
for all of your days?
If so, say “I do.”
Joyce: "I do."
Pronouncement [1 minute]: Siobhan to the couple
Del and Joyce, you have committed yourselves to each other in marriage by the exchanging of vows, and by the giving of rings, in the presence of your friends and family.
May you live together in blissful happiness from this day forward.
With the authority vested in me by the state of Illinois, it is with great joy I now pronounce you husband and wife.
Del, you may kiss the bride!
I now present to you Mr and Mrs Del Reynolds!!!
Applause and Recessional
A Group picture will be taken after the ceremony. Larry Fitton will stand from the deck and take a group picture. Then, Del and I can lead everyone to our yard. I assume we can take family pictures with the evergreen trees in the background.
